Cooling tanks at a California nuclear power plant caught fire Monday, after staff failed to heed a combustibility warning issued by the 1984 Pointer Sisters song “Neutron Dance.” The fire started in the reactor core after the moderator failed to slow down the neutrons released during fission. The fire then spread to the cooling towers where flames could be seen shooting out of them. Plant officials were caught off guard by the fire, having been unaware of the chain reaction the fervent dancing would cause.
