An Unlikely Challenger Advances in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition

Project Frontier, from the Mountain Meadow University, has just advanced to the final round in the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. Beating out over 500 other teams, the judges remarked at the beauty and sophistication of its aerodynamic design. While other teams focused on

electrodynamic suspension systems, which allowed levitation, Project Frontier’s system involved a mule pulling a wagon through the SpaceX tube. The team is headed by 110 year old college freshman Jebediah Samson, who admonished his competitors for getting lost in what he termed “highfalutin physics.” “All you need to run this contraption is water and hay, and that’s just for Elsie,” he commented.
