Aerospace Engineer Fired after Comparing Mars Expedition to 8 Months Trapped in a Ford Fiesta

HOUSTON, TX

Alex Green, an aerospace engineer with MarsX, was fired Monday for comments he made after his presentation at the SpaceCom Expo. Dr. Green, a specialist in the field of interplanetary travel was apparently still mic’d when he spoke to a colleague backstage. When asked if he himself would like to make the legendary journey he was helping make a reality, he guffawed saying, “Yeah, like I want to be trapped in a shuttle the size of a Ford Fiesta for 8 months only to arrive on a planet where my eyes and skin will peel away like burning paper the second I step off”
